Frequently asked questions.
Having a documentary style, do you take formal portraits?
Yes, of course! It’s a wedding, and we understand how important formal portraits are. We usually ask our clients to provide a list of the photos they want so we can capture them efficiently, allowing you to get back to enjoying your special day as quickly as possible.
How long does it take to deliver the gallery?
From 6 - 8 weeks.
Do you offer video?
Yes, we offer video services exclusively as an add-on when you hire us for photography.
Do you print albums?
Yes, some of the collections we offer include an album. And there is always the option to purchase an album (s) separately.
What can we expect from the experience of working with you?
You can expect to enjoy your wedding! If you hire me, your wedding will be what it is… a celebration and not a photo shoot. My priority is that you enjoy every minute of it. It is the only time you will have all your loved ones under one roof so you can’t miss that chance. I won’t be interrupting moments with your friends or family to get a photo or will not be chasing you or rushing you to get an epic photo. I find the beauty of photos in just letting you be yourself. That’s why I love the documentary style… you just have to be yourself, enjoy your wedding and we will be there to capture it all.
Do you need anything in particular from our bridal party?
Yes, to pretend I’m not around and just be themselves.
How far do you travel?
As far as you want me to go!
Do you charge a travel fee?
I don’t charge a travel fee if the wedding is anywhere in Southern California. If it’s outside of SoCal there will be extra charges that will depend in the specific location.
Do you document wedding on your own?
Most of our packages include 2 photographers, but we also have the option of just 1 photographer for smaller/elopement weddings.
What happens if you can’t make it to my wedding?
In the unlikely event of an emergency (which, fortunately, has never happened in my experience), my contract ensures that a trusted professional—someone who has worked with me and understands my approach to weddings—will step in to cover me.
What do we need to book the date?
You need to sign the contract (both of you) and give a 50% deposit. Once that is done, the date is yours!
Why do you document weddings?
First and foremost, I love weddings. Capturing the full spectrum of emotions—the joy, the nerves, the laughter, even the tears—is what makes this work so meaningful to me. A wedding is a truly magical day where everyone looks their best, emotions run high, and loved ones come together to celebrate.
On a more personal note, when I got married, I didn’t realize how important choosing the right photographer was. At the time, I wasn’t a photographer myself and had no idea about different styles—I simply picked someone based on price. While my photos are pretty, they don’t feel like me. The experience felt staged and awkward, with too much posing.
When I discovered documentary-style photography, I completely fell in love with it. It allows people to see themselves authentically and relive their wedding day exactly as it felt. That’s why I do what I do—to give couples genuine, heartfelt memories that truly reflect their day.
What happens if your equipment fails during the wedding?
Me and my team always come fully prepared with backup cameras, lenses, memory cards, and other essential gear to ensure uninterrupted coverage. In the rare event of equipment failure, I have solutions in place so that no important moments are missed. My priority is to capture your day seamlessly, no matter the circumstances.
What happens if the wedding is cancelled due to unforseeen circumstances?
We strive to be as flexible as possible. If the cancellation is due to circumstances beyond your control, we’re happy to reschedule at no additional cost, depending on our availability.
What advice can you give us for our wedding day?
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! I can’t say it enough. Be happy, hug your people, laugh, dance and always be yourself. The only way to have amazing and unique photos is if you are yourself. Not that hard, right? And if you want your dance floor to be full, you two have to be there dancing and enjoying with the rest of your guests.
What type of people hire you?
My couples are easygoing and want to fully enjoy their wedding day without the pressure of posing. They value authentic moments over perfection and prefer to create lasting memories by simply being themselves. Many have told me they feel awkward in front of the camera, which is why my approach focuses on capturing natural, candid emotions rather than staged shots.
As one of my second shooters once said, 'I’ve noticed that all your clients are incredibly kind and welcoming,' and I couldn’t agree more. I typically work with down-to-earth couples who prioritize their loved ones over picture-perfect details. The weddings I photograph are not just beautiful but deeply emotional, filled with joy, love, and truly unforgettable celebrations.
Why should we hire you and not another photographer?
Because your wedding day should be about you, not about posing for photos. My approach allows you to fully immerse yourself in the moment while I document the genuine emotions, connections, and energy of the day. I won’t interrupt or stage interactions—I believe in capturing your story as it naturally unfolds. Your wedding is about your love, your people, and your memories, and I’m there to preserve them in the most authentic and stress-free way possible.
How would you describe your photography style?
At Eyeblink Photo, we specialize in a documentary-style approach that focuses on capturing genuine emotions. Our goal is to preserve the moments that help you relive how your day felt, not just how it looked. We don’t rely on poses or staging—just natural, organic, and raw storytelling. The only time we guide poses is during family portraits, which typically take just 20-30 minutes.
What’s the difference between documentary and editorial or traditional photography?
Please read the blog I have about it XXXX
Do you deliver Raw files?
No, we don’t deliver raw files, as they require specialized software to process and aren't the final, polished product. Think of it like dining at a restaurant—you’re there for a beautifully prepared meal, not just the ingredients. However, if you're asking about high-resolution, fully-edited images, we absolutely provide those.
How many photos do you deliver?
We can’t guarantee a specific number of photos, as it depends on the flow of your wedding day. For example, if the dance floor is packed, we’ll capture plenty of lively moments. If it’s quieter, there will naturally be fewer images from that part of the evening.
On average, we deliver around 80-100 photos per hour, but this can vary based on the events and energy of the day. Our priority is to document meaningful moments as they naturally unfold, ensuring you receive a collection that truly reflects your wedding.
Are all the photos in the gallery edited?
Yes, all photos are professionally edited and color-corrected, ready for print at no extra charge. If you require additional retouching—such as removing a birthmark or tattoo—an extra fee may apply, depending on the number of images needing customization
Will we get the digital files? Do we need to pay for them?
Yes you will get a digital gallery with your photos. You do not need to pay for them.
Can we print the photos on our own?
Yes, you will have full printing rights for personal use. However, commercial rights—such as selling the photos to a magazine or providing them to your venue for promotional purposes—are not included.
How much do you charge?
We have different collections. Please check them HERE.
Can we customize a package ?
Yes, we are flexible and we can make adjustments according to your needs.
If we need you for more hours during the wedding, can we have extra hours?
Yes, the price will vary depending on how many photographers are working and for how long.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, we have a liability insurance that cover us for any damage we cause during the wedding.
When is the final payment due?
30 days before your wedding day.
Do you offer payment plans?
We don’t but we can always talk about it and find the best solution for both parties.
Are the photos in your portfolio from real weddings or from styled shoots?
All of them are from real weddings.
Will you be the photographer in our wedding or will you send an associate?
I will be the photographer.
Can you see a couple of full galleries of past clients?
Of course, reach out so we can send you a password so you can access them.
